SWIM 2010

Posted in Daily Indulgence on January 17th, 2010 by Marissa Casey

Hey Fashionistas,

With spring break a mere 3 months away its time to start thinking about your beach attire.  With a bunch of other colleges in the same spring break spots every year… you are going to want to dress your best (all the time).  I’m so over those old suits, it’s time to get this seasons cutting edge swimwear.  Whether you feel most comfortable in that sexy one piece, cheeky Brazilian bottom, a bandeau top, animal prints or one shoulder suit it’s time to look your best and get the suit that makes you feel the most confident!!  Have killer curves… try a cutout one peice.  Have a pear shape body…you’re in luck this season with hot one pieces and tankinis!  It’s time to refresh your swim wardrobe… whether you are traveling to Pulco, a cruise, Vegas, Cancun or more…. be hotter than that girl next to you.

Sony Entertainment launches a T-Shirt Line

Posted in Daily Indulgence on January 16th, 2010 by Marissa Casey

Hey Trendsters,

Once again there has been a crossover between music and clothing merchandise.  Sony Entertainment’s merchandising arm, The Thread Shop is to launch a T-Shirt collection that will feature rare and behind-the-scene photographs, logos, and ticket stubs dating back to 1887.

Sony’s t-shirt line is called Archive 1887.

Sony has realized that it is hard to get the great music of Miles Davis and Thelonious Monk to the 12-18 year old kids. In an interview www.wwd.com had with Matt Vlasic, president of The Thread Shop, he states, ” You can’t cruise a cool record store anymore.  They’re not in the iTunes top 100.  This is how we’re going to get to them.”

These t-shirts made in the heart of LA, will be priced between $20-$24 wholesale.  When you purchase a shirt you also get an online code that will enable the consumer to listen to the selected music from that artist.  Your purchase will also include a pewter skeleton key to symbolize “the unlocking of all this amazing music and cultural relevance”.
